I arrived at the Seven Sisters Country Park visitors centre via the 12X after the sun had set. Conspicuously walked past the staff who were closing-up with my head-torch blazing and escaped into the woods. Walked for about an hour up a hill and camped near the tree line at the top.
Fire-wood from a holly tree that had died back, area cleared of leaf litter, six inch (ish) pit dug with a cheap trowel that bent, cotton wool pads for tinder, extensive blowing.
Two packets of instant noodles and a pack of Swedish meatballs from the corner shop.
Good fire. Felt great. Watched until about eleven.
Slept at the foot of the tree, fox or a badger or something barked near my head at around three, woke up at six, filled in hole and distributed leaves.
Returned back downhill and followed an old rambler up some long steps. I walked up to a wall and over it there was the River Ouse. Followed to the coast.
A Little egret.
Seven sisters, I dragged myself over three of them, prepared noodles, spilt half of said noodles as a result of extremely poor stove placement. Felt that things probably wouldn't get as good as the night before and so returned home.
7/10, would Friston Forest again.
