On December 16th 2007 a small boy in Gloucestershire created a WordPress blog which continues to be hosted to this day. The blog wasn't active for long, with the last post being made a week later on the 22nd.

I have tried in vain to access the account associated with the blog. I do not enjoy that it appears amongst the highest results when you search my full name.

My full name, incidentally, is apparently unusual. Neither half is bizzare but as far as I can tell the precise combination is only shared by one other person on earth, roughly my age, who lives in the US state of Louisiana. I have checked, we're not related.

I have been aware of them for as long as I can remember searching my own name. They had an extensive baseball career throughout High School. I am the reason their Twitter handle ends with a 2. They are due to be married in 26 days at the time of writing.

When you search for our full name, alongside a picture of me having passed my driving test hosted on the instructors website, and a lovely photo of him dipping his fiance, you can find the words:

I now wonder whether the only other person in the world who shares my name has visited this blog and what they think of it.

A few years ago, whilst whistful and drunk, I sent a message to this person on Twitter. I explained how I had been aware of them my entire life, and how it was crazy that we were the only two people on the planet who shared this exact name. He did not respond.
